Tips to make homemade drinks for Christmas.

Spiced Cider

Spiced Cider

Ingredients :
  • 1 jug Apple Cider,
  • 1 cup of Red Hots (candy),
  • 1 cup Rum

  • Over medium heat, in a large pan, bring Cider to a boil, add Red Hots, and stir until dissolved. Add 1 cup of rum before serving.
  • Holiday entertaining can be made simple by offering a punch bowl for a beverage that guests can help themselves to. This will lighten your load to spend more time socializing. The ice ring makes this a beautiful holiday treat and a perfect drink this winter.
Ingredients :
  • 1 quart Ginger ale
  • 2 small cans Frozen lemonade
  • 1 small can Frozen orange juice
  • 1 Bottle of Dry Champagne
  • 8 or 10 Frozen whole strawberries
Method :
Ice Ring : Mold 1 small can frozen lemonade and 1 can water, plus the strawberries and freeze the night before.

Punch: Mix 1 can lemonade, 1 can orange juice, 1-quart ginger ale, and 1 quart champagne in punch bowl. Add ice ring and serve.

Orange Non-alcoholic Eggnog Float

Ingredients :
  • 4 eggs
  • 6-teaspoon sugar
  • 5 1/2 cups fresh orange juice, chilled
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1-quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart ginger ale, chilled
Method :
Beat the eggs and the sugar until light (no separation necessary here). Stir in the orange and the lemon juice. Place small scoops of ice cream in the punch bowl. Pour the ginger ale against the sides (inside, of course) of the bowl (this is done to preserve as much of the carbonation as possible). Add the orange juice picture slowly, stirring gently. Serve immediately. You can serve around thirty people.
