Here are some tips on how to make rum balls for the festive occasion.

Rum Balls
Ingredients :
2 tbsp Cocoa
2 cups Confectioner's Sugar
2-½ cup Vanilla Wafers (finely crushed)
1 cup Pecans or Walnuts (finely chopped)
3 tbsp Light Corn Syrup
¼ cup Rum or Bourbon
Method :
Sift cocoa and 1 cup confectioner's sugar in a large bowl.
Mix remaining ingredients and shape the mixture into 1-inch balls using your hands.
Sprinkle about 1 cup of confectioner's sugar on a plate and roll the balls in it to coat.
Store in a tin for at least 1 week before giving them away.
These cookies mellow with age and have a shelf life of 1 month.
You can gift wrap the cookies in a plastic foil too.
Makes about three-dozen cookies.
